High Temperature Test

The high temperature test is performed to determine the specimen’s resistance to elevated temperatures under natural environmental conditions. The specimen placed in the test chamber is maintained for a defined duration at suitable high temperature levels that may be encountered during actual operation and/or storage. Throughout the test, the specimen’s performance is observed and any anomalies are recorded.

Objective Purpose

  • Verify the specimen’s durability and functional continuity under high temperature conditions.
  • Evaluate the effects of high temperature on material structure, mechanical properties, and overall performance.

Test Scope Scope

  • Maintaining the specimen for a defined duration at elevated temperature levels that may be encountered during real operation and/or storage.
  • Procedure I – Storage: Assessing the effects of high temperature storage on subsequent material performance.
  • Procedure II – Operation: Verifying product performance when exposed to high temperatures during mission/operation.

Technical Implementation Process

  • The technical specifications of our climatic chambers are designed to meet both military and civil standards; tests are performed in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160G requirements.
  • To enable functional testing during the test, all specimen interfaces (communications, power cables, etc.) are routed to the laboratory environment via hermetic feedthroughs through the chamber side ports.
  • This ensures that real use conditions are simulated as reliably as possible and that performance observations are recorded throughout the test.

Application Areas Use

  • Aerospace and defense electronics components
  • Electronic devices and control units
  • Vehicle/equipment enclosures, power and communication modules
  • Systems and subcomponents operating in field conditions

At STEST, we conduct high temperature tests in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and relevant international standards, and support product verification with detailed reporting at the end of the process.
